Master Pastellist Pastel Society of Australia Pastel is the first medium Karol learnt and still remain her first choice of medium today. An International Award winning and Teaching Artist, Karol shares her passion for pastels through workshops, demonstrations and exhibited paintings. "Pastels are a vibrant and immediate medium, so right for plein-air painting and for that cross between drawing and painting.  "Hydrangeas" This pastel painting is a large work painted from life. It won first prize in the Still Life section at the PSA Annual Awards in 2013. Hydrangeas was donated to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital in Brisbane, Australia as part of their fundraising campaign in the same year.
