Artist Statement
“My mission is simple, to paint natures everyday landscape in an expressive and colourful way. In that simplicity is the adventure of exploring new places, meeting people and cultures, to experience endangered environments and to record this living history for future generations".

2020 saw Karol become the PSA President, taking the community on line during covid and making sure all artists were able to connect each month. This monthly online setup and demo continues today. Karol stepped aside in 2022 to concentrate on her own online art society that she started prior to taking up the Presidency. (Read More Below on this page) Karol is still a member today and continues to support the PSA in giving back through demonstrations, workshops and helping out behind the scenes 43 years later.

" Quality is never an accident. It is always the result of intelligent effort." John Ruskin
The Online Art Society (TOAS)TOAS was started in June 2020 in response not to COvid-19 but to an outgrown Facebook page where we did painting challenges.
Now we could bring in Guest Artists, learn new painting ways and be inspired by the art and artists around us. TOAS connects Artists with Tutors and to each other. Nobody has to paint alone or let mobility be the restriction on their art journey. Online with a dedicated website, TOAS is now five years old and going strong. Our artists are from across the world, as are the tutors. All skill levels are represented and we search out the Modern Masters across all mediums to be part of our monthly painting challenges. An Ethical Art Practice.
"Here at Oakley Fine Art we pride ourselves on being an ethical arts practice. Our values reflect how we work with artists and collectors to gain the results they are after. We believe in a sustainable future for all and are working toward a "green" studio. Recycling is part of our strategy to minimise waste. We run on solar power during the day, returning the excess to the grid. There is more happening, on a smaller scale each day to make our enviromental impact as small as possible while giving the best value and satisfaction. " Karol Oakley
